I retired from being a professor a few years ago. After retiring, I decided to spend all of my free time traveling. In just a few years, I visited dozens of countries in all unusual temperature zones. The experience has been amazing. My number one part is meeting up-to-date people as well as learning about their culture. I don’t usually find it hard to adjust to up-to-date cultures. However, I struggle to adjust to the unusual temperatures as well as the heating as well as cooling systems. I am originally from an section that has easily cold winters, however my buddy and I insulate our homes as well as install strong central furnaces. My associate and I barely feel the cold from the winter season when my buddy and I are indoors. I have traveled to countries who experience similar winter season weather, however do not heat their homes like my buddy and I do. Those have been the most hard sites to adjust to. I cannot understand how the locals live with these conditions. They must get used to not having furnaces. I learned my lesson after traveling to a country like this the first time. I wasn’t prepared as well as assumed they had boilers that match the weather conditions. Since that trip, I’ve started doing research prior to my travels in order to be prepared. I usually bring a heated blanket to countries like these. The heated blankets entirely make a difference! I also pack heavier clothing as well as hand warmers. The hand warmers make a difference when I can’t stay indoors. It has taken some time, however I’ve learned to adjust to multiple temperatures as well as heating as well as cooling systems.
