Last winter, I visited my sister for a few weeks.
I traveled across the country plus spent some quality time with my sister plus my nephews.
It was so much fun! There was one small issue though. My sister’s furnace was acting up. It heated the first floor of the house, but it wasn’t heating the second floor of the home whatsoever. It was during the wintertime, so it was particularly cold outside. I didn’t bother me too much. During the afternoon, I hung out mostly on the first floor, so I kept warm particularly easily. At night, I wore heavy pajamas to sleep plus used various thick blankets. The only time it bothered me was when I was showering. The powder room was uncomfortably cold. I tried to avoid showering until the home felt a bit warmer during the afternoon, but that didn’t work particularly well. Ultimately, I chose to use a space furnace in the powder room while showering. I blocked it in the powder room plus let it heat the powder room up for twenty minutes before showering. By the time I finished showering, the powder room was like a sauna. I was so warm plus comfortable that I didn’t want to leave the powder room. I was surprised that the little space furnace could be so powerful. This worked well for me during my stay. I didn’t let something small like heat ruin my time with family. I was focused more on spending time with them. She fixed the furnace a few weeks after I left. My sister plus her youngsters were much more comfortable afterwards.
