I was focused more on spending time with them
Last winter, I visited my sister for a few weeks. I traveled across the country and spent some quality time with my sister and my nephews. It was so much fun! There was one small issue though. My sister’s heating system was acting up. It heated the first floor of the house, but it wasn’t heating the second floor of the house whatsoever. It was during the wintertime, so it was very cold outside. I didn’t bother me too much. During the day, I hung out mostly on the first floor, so I kept warm very easily. At night, I wore heavy pajamas to sleep and used several thick blankets. The only time it bothered me was when I was showering. The bathroom was uncomfortably cold. I tried to avoid showering until the house felt a bit warmer during the day, but that didn’t work very well. Ultimately, I chose to use a space heater in the bathroom while showering. I plugged it in the bathroom and let it heat the bathroom up for twenty minutes before showering. By the time I finished showering, the bathroom was like a sauna. I was so warm and comfortable that I didn’t want to leave the bathroom. I was surprised that the little space heater could be so powerful. This worked well for me during my stay. I didn’t let something small like heat ruin my time with family. I was focused more on spending time with them. She fixed the heating system a few weeks after I left. My sister and her kids were much more comfortable afterwards.
