Tree branch came down directly on AC

Not only did the storm blow down several power lines in our area, but it also blew down a massive branch that landed directly on my air conditioning unit

Sometimes I feel like I am cursed with bad luck. I’m just one of those people who meets a lot of resistance around every turn. I know that some people believe you create your own luck… But I have to vehemently hope that this isn’t the case. If I’m responsible for all of the bullshit that I go through, I must be in a real karmic bind. Recently, this was demonstrated to me once again after we had a massive storm blow through our area. Apparently, if it gets hot and humid enough outside we can experience these small and powerful thunderstorms that are called microbursts. I have never seen one of these powerful storms before the other day. The thunderstorm was just strong enough to blow down several branches in the yard while we cowered in the air conditioning inside. I was very glad to have high quality indoor air on our side because it was already extremely uncomfortable in that summer climate. We had been dealing with crazy heat and humidity for months already at that point. I was extremely excited for the air temperature to drop after this summer storm blew through. Unfortunately, I shouldn’t have been so stoked about the sudden air temperature change. Not only did the storm blow down several power lines in our area, but it also blew down a massive branch that landed directly on my air conditioning unit. After the Storm passed and power was restored in our area, we still didn’t have any air conditioning. The worst part of all I was realizing that the thunderstorm actually created more heat and humidity. I laid awake sweating all night and thought about my terrible luck as I figured out how to fund the air-conditioning replacement.
