I guess I’m one of those people who is pretty difficult on themselves.
I never suppose that the things I’ve accomplished are impressive or noteworthy. I never have a long afternoon & tell myself that “I deserve” to reward myself in any way. Even when I have nothing on my agenda I can’t even give myself permission to relax & sleep in. That’s why it was a special afternoon when I decided to schedule a lazy afternoon in bed; little did I know that my home’s Heating, Ventilation & A/C system would ruin my giant plans. I had nothing on my schedule one summery Thursday, & decided I was going to kneel around in a/c all afternoon long, seeing Netflix & eating yummy snacks, then when I woke up the next morning, but, my room seemed a little boiling & stuffy. I maintained to make sure that my windows were fully closed, & indeed, they were tightly sealing the boiling summer time air outside. I went to the temperature control & was discontent to see that the indoor air temperature was 72 degrees, even though it was programmed for 81. I tried to adjust the settings, however wasn’t hearing my a/c humming in the background. The apartment was getting warmer & warmer as the sunshine rose higher in the sky, & I was calling every Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier in city trying to schedule an emergency call, but of course, everyone was already booked for the morning, & I spent my lazy afternoon kneeling around in the suffocating heat waiting for the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional to arrive.
