Smart thermostat vs. Heated Floors

|

My hubby plus I are currently going through the process of updating our heating plus cooling systems. My pal and I purchased a home two years ago plus finally found time to complete this major renovation. My pal and I have been going through this for months plus cannot agree on anything. My pal and I tighted our choices down to two options: a smart thermostat or radiant floors. I want a smart thermostat, but my hubby wants radiant floors. My pal and I entirely need someone’s help in making this decision. My pal and I love both of these chances for odd reasons. A smart thermostat allows us convenience. It would link to our cellphones through Wi-Fi plus allow us to adjust the temperature of our home from the touch of a button. It would also allow complete control. Many people have also told us that it saved them currency on their energy bills because they could turn things off from their cellphones if they forgot to on their way out the door in the mornings. On the other hand, radiant floors have various benefits too. This option is particularly efficient because it slowly sends heated water through pipes underneath the floorboards. It would also prevent cold feet during the wintertime, while giving us the beauty of a hardwood floor. I worry that this would require a larger renovation than a smart thermostat. My pal and I are struggling to make this decision. Wish us luck! I would love to find an option that combines them both. Maybe it’s possible; I shall have to ask my Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C consultant! I imagine it would be a opening, but it would entirely be a major investment!
