The Jacksonville homeowner needed help fast

|

I work for a Jacksonville air conditioning repair business. Throughout the week, I usually work Monday through Friday from 10:00 in the morning until 8:00 at 9:00. I only work on the weekends once during the month. Everyone that works for the Jacksonville air conditioning repair business has to be on call one weekend each month. When I am on call, I am responsible for answering all of the emergency air conditioning repair calls. The on-call technician has to be available from 10:00 at night until 7:00 in the morning. I can’t drink or do drugs when I have to be responsible for the safety and well-being of our clients. Most of the time, it’s very quiet and there are few emergency calls. Last weekend there was a store off the coast and there was a lot of rain and hail. The Jacksonville homeowner called me at 2:00 in the morning. The guy needed help fast. A tree fell on top of his air conditioning system and there was no cool air in the house. I told the homeowner that I probably would not be able to fix the problem in the middle of the night, due to parts. I offered to bring the Jacksonville homeowner a portable air conditioning system to help cool down temperatures inside of the house. I arrived at the address by the beach before 3:00. The house was two bedrooms and around 1,000 ft. I assessed the outdoor air conditioning components. There was absolutely no way for me to make repairs that night, but I left the portable air conditioning system there until the morning.
